Reverse sides of the same sign: give/receive. Depending on what side of the fence you are standing, this sign reminds the value of these seemingly polar interactions.
Breathing slowly in and out reminds me of the importance of both being able to give and being able to receive. Both giving and receiving take practice, like building a muscle or learning a new skill. Both are valuable, in fact vital, at different moments in the day or times in our lives. Both can require vulnerability or opening ourself up to possibility, a risk. Any one a potential barrier to giving or receiving.
This heART honors the mindful practice of giving and receiving, doing our part in the exchanges of life.
