826 Valencia workshop: street art love note signs

I'm a huge fan of 826 Valencia, the Pirate Store cover for a writing workshop space for kids and teens. My kids have taken writing classes, been published and even read on stage during Litquake through this awesome non-profit. 826 Valencia has also been my go-to volunteer gig as I love teaching workshops in the back of the Pirate Store. The latest workshop was a blast - street art inspired love note signs. The crew of kids got right to work crafting their own sayings. Once the signs were made, they hammered hardware into the back and we discussed ways to securely hang signs up.You can expect to find all this awesome love popping up around San Francisco very soon: in parks, schools and even some talk of an apartment building display.
